A 90-es évek Mercedesei az aranykor csúcsát jelentik sok márka kedvelőnek. Klasszikus, mérnöki munka centrikus mesterművek, jó motorokkal és technikai megoldásokkal. Ám semmi se tökéletes. Bár a W210 és később a facelift előtti W203 autók a legrosszabbak rozsda tekintetében, a W202-nek is van egy-két jellegzetes korróziós pontja.
